Notice how it corrected the words "hou" and "cen" and "thise" but it did not know that the blobbed "P" in PC was not supposed to be an "R"
That suggests that the character recognition software is using a context-sensitive algorythm that contributes to the analysis of the handwriting, to determine what is meant by the character...even if the character is missing or poorly represented in the original form.
They do the same thing with voice recognition software.
