At the risk of disappointing those who haven't had a chance to guess, here are the answers to the questions posed in the previous post:
Year: 1957
Publication: Signs of The Times
Signs of the Times is a magazine produced by the Seventh Day Adventist church.
Admittedly, the contest wasn't entirely fair, since the perspective of Signs of the Times might not have ever been 'mainstream'.
But anyway, since Mimi was the closest, she wins. And the prize, as determined by our pseudo-Rogue-style judging panel, is:
*
(32 gold pieces )
(You have achieved the level of 'Hero')

Yahooooo, I never win anything. The dress and hair were the dead giveaways, had to be 50s. Sorry Lief, you need to read more fashion mags or history mags. Those 32 gold pieces aren´t recycled dental work are they? Hope they´re dubloons (sp?). Johnny can deliver them. At least this contest was more fair...hee hee hee.
Oh, I just read the other contestants responses and admittedly, there wasn´t much competition. Sorry guys. It doesn´t take the edge off my victory however, a win is a win!
I've learned my lesson. I won't let winners go away empty-handed anymore.
Those are 32 genuine virtual gold pieces. Accepted everywhere that virtual gold pieces are accepted.
I thought the significant prize was achieving the level of "hero"
Any loser would think that. Ha.
