Tinariwen

From northern Mali, in the southern Sahara, former Tuareg rebels and nomads turned musicians.

Guitar style is similar to Amadou et Mariam.

This is track seven, my favorite from their album Aman Iman: Water is Life

To Anonymous in WY:
According to my wife, James' Grandmother, "Of course he is a beautiful human!" -- I get in trouble everytime I try to blame him for anything!

James, I enjoyed the guitar music very much. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

You have such a wonderful family! I read Heidi's posts, too, and what a quintessential mom. So beautiful. I am a mother of three that just got laid off and it has been so enriching and heartening to read such down-to-earth, awe-inspiring things such as baking bread and new music and aprons with drink recipes, and families in love with each other. Must be weird to have a voyeur from so far away...but thanks a lot, to all of you. BTW-- there is nothing to sign in as other than anonymous, given the choices here at the bottom. Cheers!
