Thirteen Inches to go

We've had just over 67 inches of rain this season (starts Sept 1.)

13 more and we'll have our typical yearly rainfall here in sunny Amboy, WA.

I bet we don't make it.
Coming into the dry season now.
If we do make it it won't be until September.

In all fairness, I don't know how precisely 80 inches is supposed to represent the average rainfall; someone may have rounded up somewhere.
However, I think you may have underestimated the length of the rainy season. By my reckoning, we're not in the clear until mid to late June.

James, you said it!! Anyone who thinks the dry season is about to start in Western Washington is either a non-backpacker, or is a Native Washintonian who doesn't call this stuff rain, but calls it Oregon Mist, or something like that and doesn't think it adds up.

Come on Lief, you ought to know better! (I think you need to go hiking with me again to Crescent Lake -- without a tent and without Angela to advise us when to turn around!)
